Banking On Oligarchy
World bank has never been so scandalous. Why isn’t Wolfie on the front cover of National Enquirer?

BLACKSBURY, Va. — Grieving Virginia Tech students sought comfort yesterday in two constants of university life here: God and football.
Several hundred students gathered yesterday on Drill Field, facing the site of Monday’s horrific shooting rampage, to pay homage to their friends at a makeshift memorial and to gather together in prayer circles.
They left bouquets, teddy bears and candles in the middle of a semicircle of 32 large rocks placed in honour of the victims of Cho Seung-Hui, the 23-year-old student responsible for the slaughter at a residence and at Norris Hall, a nearby classroom building.
They also wrote messages to their departed friends and colleagues that leaned on two themes central to this university in Virginia’s Bible Belt: a deep belief in God and a profound enthusiasm for Virginia Tech’s football team, the Hokies.
I don’t recall. I don’t recall. I don’t recall…55 times…and that was just the morning session…. And they said he has been preparing this hearing for weeks? Some preparation.
I am really sadden by all this, compounded with four days of media bombardment of Virginia Tech massacre, not only because of realizing that we have an utterly incompetent AG defending a pathetic case, but recognizing that we are living in a very broken country. The heart and soul of this country rest solely on the notion that we are living in a land of law and that very precious Constitution. Yet, we have such a defunct Justice Department that plays politics to whatever they please. We have a White House that lies, cheats, hides, bullies, manipulates in every single way to advance their agendas. We have a media culture that only delivers news with shock values with a million pundits and spins on it. Meaningful reporting is a long lost art. I counted Wednesday, there was exactly 40 seconds of CNN reporting Iraq bombing that killed 171 people, in between two full hours of Blacksburg report. But hey they are not Americans so who the hell cares. And the final draw came when I watched Joe Scarborough last night, hearing him describing Cho Seung-Hui as “animal”. He maybe completely mad, extremely angry and emotionally unstable. You can call him a murderer committed a senseless crime. But don’t call anyone “animal”, especially over the air to millions of people. Let the law and the victims’ family to judge; and not us, and certainly not the media outlet to assert hatred comments over anyone, yes, even to a mass murderer.
And speaking of killer, partial-birth abortion ban upheld in Supreme Court’s decision. Women’s right once again died in the hands of 5 men in ropes.
Remember the lives that have been cut far too short. Say a prayer. Stay away from the TV. Work. Give. Vote. Change the world.
This is just too good. That makes Ralphie a life-long hunter with the Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-Shot.
Folks I am FINALLY back, after an expected switch to a new server and a new host. So….. where should we start? How about the good old, same old, getting way too old subject, should we? No? Well if we wanna talk some else first we need solve the “OLD” problem first…so let’s meet some of the potential ‘deciders’.
If America isn’t ready for wind surfing, my God, how will they ever be ready for a woman President of any kind!? Who will fetch coffee, cook, clean, raise kids, balance a budget while running six errands with soccer practice in between all in one day?
Shouldn’t be surprised by the finding of the newly release climate report, we the human beings are the ones who are responsible for global warming. The question is how are we going deal with this emergency. El Nino is not the only cause for the erratic and extreme weather we face this year.
OMIGOD. They actually “try” to spend more money on education, veteran benefit and scientific research. Change, indeed is a good thing. One up for the Dem Congress. Keep it up with rubbing off the earmarks.
As we worry about floods and other Katrina, people on the flip side have to deal with the opposite: drought. All roads lead to global warming and there is not a single place on this planet that isn’t affected by it. You can deny but you can’t hide. Now DEAL with it.
Nothing will destroy New Orleans. No depression will ruin Wall Street. Say bye bye to anything dutch, for all these wonders will be underwater by 2100. 23″ is somewhere above your knee. 55″ is somewhere around my neck. Now doctor, tell me the truth, what’re my chances?
I supposed there is no good options for the Democrats dealing with this disaster in Iraq and the administration that drives this country without a steering wheel one way towards the cliff. Damn if you do and damn if you don’t. I say we do it the “tough-love bad-cop” way: pull the purse string once and for all. No more non-binding resolution this and resolution that, all hat and no cattle. And please stop talking about resolution will hurt troops morale. The real “hurt” is to let the young men and women continue to sacrifice their lives for a lost cause. Mr. McCain and Mr. Lieberman, if you are so incline to continue the support of this war why don’t you go and fight it yourself! If the Democrats keep doing the lip services offering nothing but hallow words, what is the different between the liberals and the administration. And now we are debating the words “escalation” vs “increase” of troop level. Gee wheez.
